The Roman Sandal takes its name from the strapping system — multiple leather bands crossing the foot and ankle in the manner of classical sandal construction. A shoe that is open in form and resolved in execution. Blake stitch construction, all-leather sole, insole, heel, and stiffeners.
Black calf on the Roman Sandal — smooth Italian calfskin in a deep, even black. The multiple straps of the Roman Sandal in black calf give the shoe a structured, almost architectural quality — the foot held clearly in place by a pattern of bands that is simple and deliberate.
