Description
The Mule is backless by definition — a shoe that covers the front of the foot and leaves the heel entirely free. Simple in concept, considered in execution. Blake stitch construction, all-leather sole, insole, heel, and lining.
Black wash horse front leather on the Mule — equine hide from the front of the horse, treated with a black wash that softens the surface and gives the colour a matte, slightly antique quality. Horse front leather is lighter and more flexible than the dense rump hide, making it well suited to the low-effort nature of the mule.
