The Mandal — Andrew McDonald's jointed mule — is a form that sits between a sandal and a shoe. The jointed construction allows the shoe to articulate with the foot. Handcrafted in Sydney.
Natural bison — the wide-grained American hide in its closest-to-natural state — brings a warmth and organic quality to the mandal form. The colour sits in the pale, warm tan spectrum; the grain is the dominant surface feature. A shoe that looks like it comes from the land.
