Description
The Ghillie is a soft shoe with a lacing system that crosses the foot rather than running up through eyelets — the laces threading through loops or kiltie fringe at the sides, tying at the ankle. A construction with roots in Highland dance that produces a remarkably close, anatomical fit. Blake stitch construction, all-leather sole, insole, heel, lining, and stiffeners.
Grigio wash horse leather on the Ghillie — equine hide treated with a wash process that softens and desaturates the surface, giving the leather a quiet, muted grey with natural variation across the hide. A shoe that is content to be unremarkable from a distance and interesting up close.
