Description
The Ghillie is a soft shoe with a lacing system that crosses the foot rather than running up through eyelets — the laces threading through loops or kiltie fringe at the sides, tying at the ankle. A construction with roots in Highland dance that produces a remarkably close, anatomical fit. Blake stitch construction, all-leather sole, insole, heel, lining, and stiffeners.
Chocolate cordovan on the Ghillie — shell cordovan from the rump of the horse in a warm, deep brown. Cordovan's density and non-porous surface mean this shoe will develop a deep, near-mirror patina over years of wear without ever losing the suppleness that makes the Ghillie's close fit work.
