Description
The Foldover Shoe is Andrew McDonald's signature design — a form that sits between an oxford and a loafer, with the upper folding back at the throat to create a distinctive horizontal line across the vamp. It asks something of the person wearing it: a willingness to be looked at. The construction is Blake stitch throughout, with all-leather interior for comfort that improves with wear.
Yak hide is denser and more heavily textured than calf — the surface has a natural grain that holds colour differently, creating a depth and tactile quality that smooth leathers don't possess. In maroon, it sits somewhere between burgundy and brown, rich and complex.
