Description
The Asymmetric Derby is Andrew McDonald's reinterpretation of a form that has been around for centuries. The offset lacing panel breaks the expected symmetry of the derby, creating a shoe that reads as considered without announcing itself. Blake stitch construction, all-leather interior, built for the long term.
Engraving on leather — tooling the surface to create a pattern or texture — produces something that cannot be achieved by dyeing or surface treatment alone. In tan calf, the engraved areas catch the light differently from the surrounding surface, creating a subtle relief that rewards close attention.
