The Sneaker Boot x Sustainable Pineapple is a collaboration between A. McDonald Shoemaker and Sustainable Pineapple — an exploration of unconventional materials in a sneaker-form construction. Albino yak, black calf, and petrolio horse upper with an EVA wedge sole, leather lining, insole, toe puff, and heel counter.
Sustainable Pineapple produces leather alternatives from pineapple leaf fibre waste — a material that replaces traditional hide in the upper panels without synthetic coating. This version combines it with yak and horse leather for a surface that is neither conventional nor easily categorised.
