Description
A zip-sided sneaker boot that sits at the quiet intersection of utility and restraint — low-profile in silhouette, decisive in its two-tone construction.
The upper pairs reverse cordovan with a black calf mudguard. Reverse cordovan — the flesh side of shell cordovan — carries a matte, subtly textured surface that softens with wear and develops a character distinct from its polished counterpart. The black calf mudguard grounds the toe, while a multicoloured YKK brass-teeth zip adds an understated point of detail without announcing itself. All leather throughout: sole, insole, heel, and lining.
Built on a Blake-stitched and wooden-pegged sole, the construction keeps the profile trim underfoot. Each pair is made to order at Andrew McDonald's workshop at Shop 121, Level 2, The Strand Arcade, Sydney. A rubber top piece can be added to the leather sole for $70.
