Description
The Asym derby boot is a study in quiet distinction — a derby silhouette extended into a boot with an asymmetric last that rewards a second look without asking for one.
The leather is a hand-stained calf, finished in petrolio: a deep, petrol-tinged blue-green that shifts in light and deepens with wear. Calf leather at this weight holds a stain well, develops a natural patina over time, and responds well to regular conditioning — becoming more personal, not less, as the years pass.
The sole is Blake stitched and finished with an oak bark stained edge, keeping the profile clean underfoot. Each pair is made at Andrew McDonald's workshop in The Strand Arcade, Sydney, where the same construction methods have been used for decades.
