Description
The single Monk Shoe is the quieter sibling of the double monk — one buckle, one strap, a cleaner silhouette. Andrew McDonald's version is built on last 1708 with Blake stitch construction and all-leather interior.
Black box calf in the monk shoe form is about as resolved as a shoe can be — every element serving the whole, nothing unnecessary. The single buckle strap creates a clean horizontal line across the vamp; the box calf carries it with the quiet formality that only a close-buffed, even-surfaced leather can provide.
