Description
The Mandal — Andrew McDonald's jointed mule — is a form that sits between a sandal and a shoe. The jointed construction allows the shoe to articulate with the foot rather than against it. Handcrafted in Sydney with all-leather construction.
Reverse culatta — the dense rump leather turned flesh-side out — has a matte, close-fibred surface that is both robust and visually calm. In this form it works with the jointed construction to produce something that reads as natural and unconstructed, despite being anything but.
