Description
The Mandal — Andrew McDonald's jointed mule — is a form that sits between a sandal and a shoe. The jointed construction allows the shoe to articulate with the foot. Handcrafted in Sydney.
Overdyed bison leather applies a secondary colour over the wide-grained American hide — the dye settling into the open grain differently across the surface, creating natural variation. In the mandal form it produces a shoe with both material character and the comfort of a jointed construction.
