Description
The Fogey boot is a study in quietude — a clean, upright silhouette that sits comfortably between the workday and the weekend without conceding anything to either.
The upper is cut from J. & F.J. Baker Russian calf, oak bark tanned in the traditional English manner that Baker has maintained for generations. The leather carries a natural, slightly waxy surface that deepens with wear, developing a patina particular to the wearer and resistant to easy replication. It is among the most considered vegetable-tanned calf on the market.
Built in Sydney at The Strand Arcade, the Fogey is Blake stitched through an all-leather double sole — oak bark tanned throughout, including the insole, heel, and lining. The result is a close, lean profile underfoot that flexes naturally and becomes more comfortable with time. A rubber top piece may be added to the leather sole for $60.
