Wingtip Derby Brogue | Choc cordovan

A wingtip derby brogue of unhurried formality — the extended wing cap and punched medallion tracing a pattern that has remained unchanged for over a century, and for good reason.

The upper is cut from shell cordovan in a rich chocolate tone. Taken from the fibrous flat muscle beneath the hide of the hindquarter, cordovan is dense, non-porous and develops a deep, rolling lustre with wear rather than a surface shine. It resists creasing in the way that calf cannot, and the colour — warm and complex against natural light — deepens slowly over years of use.
