Description
The Fogey is Andrew McDonald's original named style — a form that defies easy categorisation. Part derby, part casual shoe, entirely itself. Built at the Sydney workshop with Blake stitch construction and all-leather interior. The name is knowing; the shoe is anything but.
Waxy calf has a surface treatment that gives it a matte depth quite different from polished box calf — it absorbs light rather than reflecting it, and develops a patina over wear that box calf approaches differently. In black the effect is serious and understated, which suits the Fogey form exactly.
