Description
The Earnest is a whole-cut derby in wide fit — a single piece of leather drawn cleanly around the foot, its almond toe and unbroken lines lending a quiet formality suited to both the boardroom and black tie.
Cut from black box calf, the leather carries the close, smooth grain and subtle sheen characteristic of the hide. It responds well to a bone or cloth polish, darkening gradually with wear into a depth that only improves over time.
Built on last 5239 at the Andrew McDonald atelier in The Strand Arcade, Sydney, the construction follows the exacting standards the workshop has maintained for decades — with a sole profile and finishing appropriate to a shoe made to be worn seriously and kept for years.
