Description
The Clarence is a cap-toe Oxford of considered restraint — a closed lacing system, a clean toeline, and a silhouette that sits equally well beneath a suit or a pair of dress trousers.
Cut from supple calf leather, the upper has a smooth, fine-grained finish that responds well to conditioning and deepens gradually with wear. Over time it develops a quiet patina particular to the wearer — a quality that marks the difference between a shoe that is bought and one that is kept.
Each pair is constructed with a Goodyear welt, bonding the upper, welt, and sole in a method that allows for resoling and extends the life of the shoe considerably. Built on last 5239 and made to order from the Andrew McDonald workshop in the Strand Arcade, Sydney.
