Description
The Mule is footwear reduced to its essentials — upper, sole, the relationship between foot and ground. No lace, no buckle, nothing to negotiate. Andrew McDonald's version is handcrafted at the Sydney workshop with the same rigour applied to every shoe: all-leather construction, Blake stitch sole, built to last.
Reverse calf — the flesh side of the leather turned outward — has a matte, slightly napped surface that holds stain differently from the grain side. The result is a surface with natural variation and a quiet tactile quality that smooth leather doesn't possess.
