Description
The Asymmetric Derby is Andrew McDonald's reinterpretation of a classic form. The offset lacing panel breaks the expected symmetry of the derby, creating a shoe that reads as considered without announcing itself. Blake stitch construction, all-leather interior.
Borax black is a surface treatment that uses borax compound to alter the leather's natural colour — producing a deep, slightly complex black with a quality that conventional dyeing doesn't achieve. On the asymmetric derby, the treated surface adds another layer of considered detail to an already distinctive form.
