Description
The Foldover Shoe is Andrew McDonald's signature design — a form that sits between an oxford and a loafer, with the upper folding back at the throat to create a distinctive horizontal line across the vamp. It asks something of the person wearing it: a willingness to be looked at. The construction is Blake stitch throughout, with all-leather interior for comfort that improves with wear.
Culatta is the rump section of the hide — the densest, most tightly grained part of the animal. Albino staining bleaches and lightens the surface while preserving the grain structure, producing a pale, slightly ethereal leather that is unlike anything in the standard colour range.
