Description
The Double Monk is one of footwear's most enduring forms — two buckles, no lace, a silhouette that has remained essentially unchanged because it has nothing left to improve. Andrew McDonald's version is built on last 1708 with Blake stitch construction and all-leather interior.
Dark chocolate sits at the deepest end of the brown spectrum — close enough to black to be formal, warm enough to read as brown in better light. In smooth calf it carries an evenness and depth that develops over years of wear and polishing. The double monk in this colour is a shoe that asks for nothing and earns everything.
