Description
The Asym Derby Boot is a long-quarter derby with a deliberate asymmetry in its pattern cut, a quiet formal tension that rewards a second look. The silhouette is clean and upright, suited equally to a working week and a considered occasion.
The upper is shell cordovan in a burnt chocolate tone, a dense, non-porous equine leather taken from the rump of the horse. This particular hide has been treated with a wood-glue coating over a bleached chocolate base, giving it a depth and slight lustre that deepens rather than fades with wear. Shell cordovan does not crease in the conventional sense; it rolls, and over time the surface develops a character that no new shoe can replicate.
