Description
The Foldover Shoe is Andrew McDonald's signature design — a form that sits between an oxford and a loafer, with the upper folding back at the throat to create a distinctive horizontal line across the vamp. It asks something of the person wearing it: a willingness to be looked at. The construction is Blake stitch throughout, with all-leather interior for comfort that improves with wear.
Oil staining on calf produces a surface that is simultaneously matte and deep — the dye penetrates differently across the hide's natural variations, creating dark wells and lighter passages that shift in the light. Handcrafted at the Andrew McDonald workshop.
